The 5th Annual Farm-City Luncheon - LAST CHANCE! Sponsor/Register TODAY

Article Posted on November 8, 2022

Hello Friends,

To reunite city dwellers with their agrarian roots, area farmers and community leaders started Farm-City Week 62 years ago.

Since our first-ever Farm-City Luncheon in 2017, we've used Farm-City week and the luncheon event to honor and recognize the beneficial partnerships between rural and urban communities that make our food supply safe and plentiful.

With the Farm-City Luncheon just around the corner, we urge you to join us for important conversations about aquaculture, national food security as well as the environmental and economic challenges and opportunities facing the people who put food on our tables.

Enjoy our engaging guest speakers as you delight in a gourmet tide-to-table lunch created by Pirates Cove Resort and Marina's Executive Chef, Oscar Billordo, using fresh locally sourced foods including steak and fish.

This event will yet again sell out, and the registration or sponsorship deadline is Friday, November 11. Be sure to signup today to guarantee your spot!

We hope everyone stays safe as Hurricane Nicole approaches our coast.

Sincerely,

The One Martin Board

Farming the Sea

Aquaculture is Agriculture. Aquaculture is the farming of fresh and saltwater plants and animals for food, restoration, pharmaceuticals, and ornamentals. In this presentation you will learn about Florida Atlantic University Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute’s aquaculture program that includes growing marine fish, shrimp, clams, and sea vegetables with the goal to advance and transfer this technology. Aquaculture in Florida will be highlighted along with why aquaculture is a growing business in our state and worldwide.
