Boosting Florida's universities by capping baccalaureate enrollment at state colleges, which would be called "community" colleges again, and shifting oversight to a governor-appointed panel

Sen. Debbie Mayfield (R-Melbourne)

Allowing state regulation of high-speed rail companies including Brightline, the passenger rail system scheduled to make its way through the Treasure Coast. A previous version of the bill passed the Senate last year, but died in the House. Mayfield said December's Amtrak train crash in Washington should push people to support the bill this year.
