Martin County delivers transparency in public records

This letter is in response to recent letters to the editor claiming Martin County has not released transcripts of attorney-client meetings related to Lake Point litigation. Such transcripts were made public in accordance with Florida law. To further enhance transparency and public access, the transcripts are also available on the county’s website, www.martin.fl.us, via the applicable board meeting agendas. Additionally, these transcripts were provided to TC Palm pursuant to a public records request on January 26, 2018.

At the November 14, 2017 Martin County Board of County Commissioners (Martin County BOCC) meeting, lead outside counsel provided a detailed presentation covering litigation history, risks of proceeding with litigation and the benefits and terms of the settlement.
