MARTIN COUNTY — Indian River State College will use an anonymous $10 million donation to help build its second public charter high school in Martin County.

The school would be built on county land near Indiantown, and would focus on career and technical education, such as welding, and dual-enrollment opportunities, said Beth Gaskin, IRSC vice president for student success. Traditional courses and evening classes for adults also would be offered, county and college officials said.

The location would help high school students from Indiantown avoid the 17-mile commute to South Fork High school.
